New Patient Information

Welcome to the family. Here's everything you need to know before your first visit.

Welcome

Your First Visit

Your first visit is about getting to know each other. We'll take our time, listen to your concerns, and give you an honest picture of where things stand. No rush, no pressure — just a conversation about your teeth and what you'd like to do about them.

"I tell every new patient the same thing: I'm going to treat you the way I'd treat my own family. We'll go over everything together, and you'll leave here knowing exactly what's going on and what your options are. That's how it should work."

— Dr. Kenneth Tran

Frequently Asked Questions

These are the questions we hear most from new patients. If yours isn't here, give us a call — we're always happy to chat.

(714) 374-8800 Frequently asked dental questions
How often should I visit the dentist?
For most people, twice a year is the sweet spot — that's what the ADA recommends, and it's what we suggest for routine cleanings and exams. If you've got gum issues or other concerns, Dr. Tran might recommend coming in more often. We'll figure out the right schedule for you.
Does teeth whitening hurt?
Most patients do just fine. Some people get a little sensitivity during or after, but it usually goes away within a day or two. We use whitening systems with built-in desensitizers, so it's about as comfortable as it gets.
What are dental implants?
Think of them as replacement tooth roots — titanium posts that go into your jawbone and become a permanent foundation for new teeth. They look and feel like the real thing, and with good care, they can last a lifetime. Dr. Tran can walk you through whether implants are the right fit for you.
How long do veneers last?
Typically 10 to 15 years, sometimes longer. Take care of them like you would your natural teeth — brush, floss, don't chew ice — and wear a nightguard if you grind. We'll keep an eye on your veneers at your regular checkups.
Do you offer emergency dental care?
Absolutely. We keep same-day slots open for emergencies because we know these things don't wait. Severe pain, a knocked-out tooth, a broken crown — call us right away at (714) 374-8800 and we'll get you in.
What insurance do you accept?
We take most major PPO plans, and our insurance coordinator will verify your benefits before you come in. We also accept cash, all major credit cards, and offer financing. For the full rundown, check our insurance & payment page.
What should I do if I have a dental emergency?
First — don't panic. Call us at (714) 374-8800 right away. If a tooth got knocked out, rinse it gently (don't scrub), try to put it back in the socket, or keep it in milk on the way to our office. For pain or swelling, hold a cold compress against your cheek. Skip the aspirin on the gums. We'll talk you through the rest on the phone. More details on our emergency page.
