Clear Aligners
Straighter teeth without metal braces -- our Huntington Beach patients love how discreet clear aligners are. Dr. Tran will tell you honestly if they're the right fit for your smile.
Nearly Invisible
Discreet treatment
What Are Clear Aligners?
Clear aligners straighten your teeth using a series of custom-made, transparent trays that you swap out every week or two. They're removable, so you eat whatever you want and brush normally. And honestly? Most people won't even notice you're wearing them.
They work best for mild to moderate crowding and spacing. If you've got a more complex bite issue, we'll be upfront about that -- aligners aren't the answer for everything, and Dr. Tran won't recommend them if they're not right for your case.
Dr. Tran's perspective: "A lot of our Huntington Beach patients come in wanting straighter teeth but worried about wearing braces to work or around town. Clear aligners changed the game for that. We use 3D scanning to map out every stage of your treatment, and you'll see a digital preview of your results before we even start. No surprises."
Your Clear Aligner Journey
From your first consultation to your final retainer, here is what to expect at each step.
Consultation & Digital Scans
We evaluate your smile, discuss your goals, and take detailed 3D intraoral scans. No messy impressions needed. You will see a digital preview of how your teeth could look after treatment.
Custom Treatment Plan
Using advanced software, we map out every stage of your tooth movement from start to finish. You will know the expected timeline, number of aligner sets, and projected outcome before committing.
Receive Your Aligner Sets
Your custom aligners are fabricated and delivered to our office. We ensure proper fit, teach you how to insert and remove them, and provide your initial sets of trays to take home.
Progress Check-Ins
You will switch to a new aligner set every one to two weeks. Brief check-in visits every six to eight weeks allow us to monitor your progress and make any necessary adjustments.
Retainer Phase
Once your teeth reach their final positions, you will transition to a retainer to maintain your beautiful new alignment. We will recommend whether a fixed or removable retainer best suits your needs.
Are You a Candidate
for Clear Aligners?
Clear aligners deliver outstanding results for the right patients — but not every smile is a match. Our Huntington Beach team reviews your bite, crowding, and lifestyle to make sure aligners are the best path forward for you.
Ideal Candidates
Mild to Moderate Crowding
Teeth that are slightly overlapping or rotated by a small degree respond very well to sequential aligner therapy.
Gaps Between Teeth
Spacing and diastemas can often be closed effectively with aligners, creating a more even and polished smile.
Minor Bite Issues
Mild overbites, underbites, and crossbites within a manageable range can be addressed without metal braces.
Committed to 22 Hours/Day
Patients who are disciplined about wearing aligners as prescribed achieve the best outcomes and stay on schedule.
Teens & Adults with Fully Erupted Teeth
Once all permanent teeth have come in, aligners can be a life-changing option for both teens and adults at any age.
May Need Alternatives
Severe Underbite or Overbite
Significant skeletal discrepancies often require traditional orthodontics or surgical intervention for safe, lasting correction.
Complex Tooth Rotations
Teeth rotated more than 20° — especially round teeth like canines — are difficult to move predictably with aligners alone.
Missing Teeth Requiring Implants
When gaps need to be maintained for future dental implants, a coordinated restorative plan is usually required first.
Young Children with Developing Jaws
Children whose permanent teeth haven't fully erupted are not yet suitable for aligner therapy and need a different growth-phase approach.
Inconsistent Wear Habits
Patients who cannot commit to wearing aligners consistently will likely see poor results — honesty here leads to the best outcome.
